Blaine Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a distributor of over-the-counter pharmaceutical products, stands out as a company that capitalizes on unique product opportunities by building trust and strong relationships with healthcare professionals and their partners.
Founded in 1955, Blaine still carries the name of its founder, Moreland Blaine, who made his start by specially formulating products for local pharmacists and physicians. He recognized the value of relationships with healthcare professionals, a position Blaine continues to follow over 50 years later.
While it remains Blaine's focus to partner with healthcare professionals to educate the consumer, the company now offers greater accessibility by making products available in front of the counter. All Blaine products are manufactured to high standards. In fact, the company's supplements are Pharmaceutical Grade® Quality, exceeding requirements set for supplements and reinforcing Blaine's commitment to quality and safety.
Blaine Pharmaceuticals is the maker of Mag-Ox 400®, the number one doctor recommended magnesium supplement on the market today. In 2006, Blaine introduced the DiaSense™ family of nutritional supplements specifically formulated to improve the health and well being of those living with—or at-risk for—type 2 diabetes. PediaSense™ ReliaDose® was introduced in 2007 as the company's first product targeted for infants. Today, the Blaine team remains committed to cultivating relationships with physicians, pharmacists, patients, wholesalers, retailers, and other business partners to promote current products and lay the foundation for future endeavors.
Alex Blaine, CEO
Alex, the son of Blaine's founder, is highly involved within the medical community. He is a firm supporter of the need for clinical studies to support Blaine's products. One of his passions has been to educate the medical community and the public about the medical benefits of nutritional supplementation. He has worked with health advocates, healthcare associations, and legislatures to raise awareness of the clinically documented studies once overlooked by healthcare professionals.
Alex assumed his position of CEO in 1985. He helped to invigorate the magnesium category and spark sales for its longstanding, flagship product—Mag-Ox 400®. Alex holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Kentucky.
